About

My interest in art is its ability to describe feelings and emotions beyond the capability of language to narrate. Philosopher Susanne Langer deftly refers to a work of art as "a projection of felt-life." It's the goal of my art to articulate the ineffable aspects of felt-life in a way that could be communicated—one inner world to another.

In service of this exploration, I try to expand my visual vocabulary by employing non-standard supports and materials to achieve novel textures and forms to the end of narrating feelings of internal conflict, meta-reflection, self-censorship, and self-destruction.

The success of each piece is measured by the ease with which the viewer is invited to reflect upon their own internal thought processes and examine the dialectic that unfolds between their own incongruent desires or values.
